DMARC
DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) is an email authentication protocol that helps prevent email spoofing, phishing, and domain-based abuse. It combines SPF and DKIM authentication methods, allowing domain owners to set policies for handling suspicious emails. DMARC can instruct email receivers to reject, quarantine, or monitor such emails and provides aggregate reports for analysis. This enhances email security and trust.
Does DMARC Expose Sensitive Information?
DMARC aggregate reports are XML documents that serve to provide insights into the authentication status of emails sent on behalf of a specific domain. These reports are transmitted to the “rua” (Reporting URI Aggregate) address as defined in the DMARC DNS record for the domain.
